Liquor-control cop faces jail for $12K scam on bar owners

Used her clout to obtain the bar owners' money, promising them in exchange that she would give them "scanners" to check the IDs

PHILADELPHIA — A former Pennsylvania liquor-control-enforcement officer was sentenced yesterday to three years in federal prison for her role in a scheme to scam almost $12,000 from nine bar owners in Montgomery and Bucks counties.

U.S. District Judge Stewart Dalzell ordered Gina Marie Kepler, 36, now living in Sewell, N.J., to pay $9,965 in restitution and surrender to the Bureau of Prisons on Nov. 8.
