Albany citizens' police review board to meet tomorrow

(ALBANY, N.Y.) -- The newly appointed Citizens' Police Review Board will hold a working meeting from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 30, at the Albany Public Library's main branch on Washington Avenue.

The meeting will be open to the public for observation only. There will be no public comment period.

The review board was approved by the Common Council in July. In October, the council appointed five board members and Mayor Jerry Jennings appointed four. The board will elect its own chair and approve its own bylaws.

The board is mandated to pass its bylaws before it can hear complaints or review them.
