(KENOSHA COUNTY, Wis.) -- An Illinois woman led sheriff's deputies on a 13-mile chase with only three tires on her car, authorities said.

The 32-year-old woman from Wilmette, Ill., was driving north on Interstate 94 Saturday when her car hit the back of a semitruck, Kenosha County Sheriff's deputies said.

She lost the right front tire of her car, but kept driving on the rim and three remaining tires. Deputies tried to stop her, but the woman ignored their instructions and kept speeding north, they said.

Authorities set up a spike strip, but said they had to leap to safety when the woman nearly ran them over. The strip blew out a second tire, but the woman continued on her two remaining tires.

The chase ended when the woman ran off the road. She could face charges of hit-and-run driving, fleeing officers, drunken driving and recklessly endangering safety.
