(JACKSONVILLE, Fla.) -- Police were looking last night for an inmate who ran away from a prison work crew Monday.

Randy Bernard White, 27, threw down his work shovel in the 3100 block of West Sixth Street about 10 a.m. and fled north on Melson Avenue, police said.

White was serving a sentence for domestic battery, police said.

In a separate incident, police captured an inmate yesterday who ran Monday from a park in the 1500 block of Boulevard Street. Robert Lee, 22, is serving time for domestic battery, police said.
