Deputy shot, suspect killed during traffic stop

Tuscola County Michigan Sheriff's deputy SGT. Curtis Chambers was shot in the left eye on 3-21-01 while on a traffic stop initiated by a BOL from an earlier armed robbery in an adjacent County. The suspect, a 34 year old, was shot and killed by SGT Chambers partner deputy Anderson. SGT Chambers is in critical but stable condition after surgery. He has lost his left eye.
