FBI says executive wanted ex-wife dead
[Chicago, IL]

April 10, 2001 (CHICAGO) – Investigators say that a Chicago businessman who wanted his ex-wife dead gave instructions to an employee on how to kill her not knowing that FBI was getting the phone conversation on tape.

James W. Taylor of Carol Stream, owner of Midwest Janitorial Services, was arrested last week. He allegedly asked one of his workers to carry out the hit in exchange for an ounce of cocaine and gave the man $500 to buy guns with. The employee alerted the FBI.

Taylor allegedly wanted to get his former wife out of the way in order to get sole custody of their two children.
