LEXINGTON, Ky. — Glen Doneghy, who drove an SUV that allegedly hit and killed a Lexington police officer last April, might be cleared of the charges against him.
In court on Monday, Doneghy's defense lawyers stated that a home video proving him innocent may be in existence. They say that in the video, a woman confesses to being the driver who struck and killed Bryan Durman as he was responding to a call.
It is unclear who possesses the video at present, but it surfaced just this month before being discussed in the hearing this afternoon. The defense claims they have been aware of the woman for much longer.
