Just because you?re paranoid doesn?t mean they aren?t after you.
Joshua Samuel Rich, 21, recently of Nevada and Utah is in custody at Indio Jail (California) this date. He arrived there shortly after he arrived at the Fantasy Springs Casino and contacted security officers inside the casino. He told them that he was in fear for his life and that he was being followed by thirty or more people. Security officers contacted Cabazon Tribal Police who in turn contacted the Riverside County Sheriff?s Dept. Rich explained to authorities that he had been on the road for several days and had just arrived from Nevada. He did not explain why the people might be after him but when Deputy Ken Burns ran Rich through the law enforcement computer he verified that it was true. People were looking for Rich, actually police officers, from Utah, Nevada, and Pleasant Grove, California, were looking for Rich. He had a felony auto theft warrant from California, a felony larceny warrant from Utah, and it turned out the car he had arrived in, and checked with valet, was recently stolen in Las Vegas. Rich should feel safe from anyone else that might be following him, at least for some time, while he travels to the jails in the various jurisdictions that will be prosecuting him.
