Deputy Sheriff Arrested for Allegedly Pointing Loaded Gun at Superior

has been charged with menacing and reckless
endangerment after allegedly pointing a loaded gun at
The incident was alleged to have happened during a
disciplinary hearing on Monday when Deputy Sheriff
Michael Diedrich was informed he was being suspended
for 30 days for insubordination.
When asked to turn over his badge and gun, Diedrich
allegedly pointed the loaded gun at Undersheriff John
Mahan. Other supervisors were able to subdue
He was arraigned in Albany Police Court on Tuesday
