DENVER — Denver police are looking for the suspects who stole an unmarked police vehicle in southeast Denver late Wednesday evening.

The four-door, 2000 black Dodge Intrepid was taken from a home in the 900 block of S. Locust, police said. The car was found Thursday afternoon in southwest Denver but everything inside the vehicle — including the officer's weapons — was missing.

Denver police wouldn't describe the types of weapons that were stolen but did say the vehicle belonged to a detective in a special unit. That detective had a surveillance camera installed in front of the home and that camera captured the theft in progress. ...
