Sign Petition: U.S. Postal Police Officers' Disability, Pension and Death Benefits Bill

Member Submission

Hi,

The U.S. Postal Police Officers have a bill (HR1841) that would allow them disability, pension and death benefits similar to that of their counterparts, the Postal Inspectors.

I ask that you read the proposed bill and if you agree, complete the petition. The response will be sent to congress before the vote.

On June 21, 1981 Postal Police Officer Michael J. Healy was shot and killed in the line of duty. The job of a Postal Police Officer exposes them to the same dangers that many of us Municipal Law Enforcement Officers face every day. They are uniformed, have powers of arrest, are assaulted and sometimes they are killed. Please support H.R. 1841 Law Enforcement Officers Equity Act Petition and pass this along to our friends.

Thanks
Mike Ruth
