NYPD: 10-year-old boy grabs intruder's gun, fires
One of the suspects fired back, but no one was hit and the suspects fled
NEW YORK — New York City police say a 10-year-old Brooklyn boy picked up a gun that was dropped by an intruder and fired a shot.
Police say two people dressed as delivery men knocked on the door to a house around 5:30 p.m. Monday. Two teenage sisters opened it. The intruders pushed past them and went to the second floor.
A woman slammed the second-floor door on one of the would-be robber's arms.
The suspect dropped his gun. Police say her 10-year-old son picked up the gun and fired a round that hit a wall.
One of the suspects fired back, but no one was hit and the suspects fled. Nothing was taken from the apartment.
Police are investigating.
