MURFREESBORO, Tenn. - Murfreesboro police officer involved in a motorcycle crash late Tuesday night has died.

Officer Kay Rogers was pronounced dead about 3 am Wednesday. She collided with another vehicle about 8 pm while riding her police motorcycle on Middle Tennessee Parkway near Bellwood School.

The driver of the other vehicle suffered minor injuries. The Tennessee Highway Patrol is investigating. No word on whether charges will be filed against the other driver.
