BRIDGE CITY, Texas — A photo posted on Facebook by a Texas officer went viral.

FOX 5 reported Bridge City Officer Brittany Beard Hilton posted the photo on Feb. 26 of her and her husband, Officer Steven Hilton, smiling side-by-side in a cruiser on Thanksgiving day.

The couple has four daughters and gave up their Thanksgiving “so the community would be safe.”

The officer warns people to think before they speak.

“We are attacked daily and getting killed just for putting on a badge,” she wrote. “Think before you speak. Your words could promote deadly actions.”
