Cops catch man who shot undercover detective in parking dispute

Ventura shot an off-duty NYPD detective during a dispute over a parking space

WATERBURY, Conn. — An ex-con was busted in Connecticut yesterday for allegedly shooting an off-duty cop in a parking dispute outside a Bronx diner.

Samuel Ventura, 25, was nabbed in Waterbury after police received a tip that he was staying at a home there. NYPD detectives were on the scene during the arrest.
