Video: Retired cop donates burial plot to girl

Harleigh Wilson was unable to escape when her family’s trailer caught on fire on the first day of 2011

By PoliceOne Staff

OGDEN, Utah – A retired Utah police officer is offering to help a family who lost their 5-year-old girl in a New Year’s Day fire.

Harleigh Wilson was unable to escape when her family’s trailer caught on fire on the first day of 2011.

Wanting to help the family, Retired Police Officer Tony Reyna contacted the young girl’s grandfather. According to ksl.com, he had previously purchased several burial plots for his own loved ones.

“That morning, I was unable to call my grandson down the hallway,” he said. “I just thought about that little 5-year-old and had to do something.”

Listen to him in his own words in the video below.
