Cause of Death: Officer Salmon died from injuries received in an automobile accident.

PHOENIX, Ariz.-- A Phoenix police officer injured when his patrol car rolled early Monday remained has died.
Officer Paul Salmon, 22, suffered extensive head injuries in the accident early Monday and never regained consciousness. Detective Tony Morales said he died late Tuesday night at St. Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center.
Salmon's police cruiser overturned while he was responding to a domestic-violence call. He had been on the force for only six months.
Authorities were investigating the accident but said there are no indications that mechanical or tire failure played a role. Salmon was not his wearing a seat belt when the accident happened.
