Officer Down: Abimael Castro-Berrocales - [Cabo Rojo, Puerto Rico]

CABO ROJO, Puerto Rico — A sergeant was killed during a traffic stop Sunday, authorities said.
Twenty-year Puerto Rico Police Department veteran Abimael Castro-Berrocales, 40, was shot in the face two times as he approached the driver's side of the vehicle, according to the Officer Down Memorial Page. A responding unit aided Castro-Berrocales then transported him to a medical center where he later died.
Castro-Berrocales was a husband and father of three. Sources said the suspect or suspects remain at large.
