LITCHFIELD, Ill. — An officer was killed Monday by a tractor trailer during a traffic stop.
Trooper Kyle Deatherage, 32, had parked his motorcycle on the shoulder of the road and was speaking with the driver of a pulled-over vehicle when he was struck according to ODMP.
The husband and father of two had served with Illinois State Police for three years.
