Officer Down: Mayra Ramirez-Barreto - [, Puerto Rico]

STILLWATER, Oklahoma — A correctional officer and a police agent from the Puerto Rico Department of Justice were killed in a head-on car crash near Stillwater, Oklahoma, Thursday.
Correctional officer Eliezer Columbus-Claussells, 35, and Agent Mayra Ramírez-Barreto, 52, were on their way to Cimmarron Prison facility to extradite three prisoners, according to ODMP, when a vehicle crossed over the center line and struck their van.
Columbus-Claussells had served with the Puerto Rico Department of Corrections for 10 years and was assigned to the Special Operations Unit.
Ramírez-Barreto had served with the Puerto Rico Department of Justice for more than 30 years and was assigned to the Extradition Unit.
