Officer Down: Charles “Chuck” Dinwiddie - [Killeen, Texas]

KILLEEN, Texas — A Texas police detective shot while serving a warrant Friday has died from his wounds.

According to KWTX, Detective Charles “Chuck” Dinwiddie passed away Sunday. Detective Dinwiddie is an 18-year-veteran of the force, the Killeen Daily Herald reports.

Another officer shot in the incident, a nine-year veteran, was last listed in good condition Saturday.

Two other officers were shot in the incident, but were protected by their safety gear, according to the report.

Suspect Marvin Louis Guy, 49, was held in the Bell County Jail Sunday, and is currently charged with three counts of attempted capital murder.

A woman involved in the Friday incident was also arrested.
