Officer Down: John Niemann - [Scott County, Minnesota]
On 12/30/2003, Scott County Minnesota Deputy Sheriff John Niemann just dropped his 11 year old son off at a friend's house and was heading home when a drunk driver struck his personnel vehicle on the driver's side killing him instantly. The drunk was not injured, but was arrested immediately.
Niemann left behind a wife, a 21 yr old son(currently serving in Irag as a Marine) and a 11 yr old son.
