Paris, Texas — The Paris (Texas) Police Department this week released a dashcam video of an arrest from November 10 in which an officer is shown slamming an 18-year-old subject on the hood of his cruiser.

Police Chief Bob Hundley said some of the action caught on tape that day needed to be investigated. "This is just one of those situations where the emotions of the situation got out of line,” he said in an interview with KXII News.

Officer Jeremy Massey was suspended for two days without pay as a result of the incident. The subject, 18-year-old Cornelius Gill, was not seriously injured in the incident, and was later taken to jail for disorderly conduct.
