Dog shot, killed after suspect threw it at cops

The suspect, who fled moments after the shooting, will be charged with aggravated assault

TRENTON, Pa. — Trenton police shot and killed a pit bull after a city man allegedly threw the animal at officers who were trying to question him.

Authorities say the suspect, who fled moments after the shooting, will be charged with aggravated assault. The man remained on the lam early Saturday.

It was not clear whether the dog belonged to the suspect.
