CLACKAMAS COUNTY, Ore. — Oregon City police arrested a 21-year-old Gladstone man Wednesday on accusations that he broke into a Clackamas County Sheriff's Office patrol car parked at Clackamette Cove and stole a mobile police radio.

Sergei Aleksandrovich Mazakov was lodged at the Clackamas County Jail on charges of theft, criminal mischief, unlawful entry into a motor vehicle, assaulting a public safety officer and resisting arrest.

When a lone police officer confronted Mazakov shortly before 4 p.m., a scuffle ensued, leaving the officer with a sprained thumb, said Oregon City Police spokeswoman Lt. Lisa Nunes.

Damage and property loss values were estimated at $3,450.
