Ohio man arrested for punching officer

CINCINNATI, Ohio — A man was arrested on charges of assaulting a police officer after allegedly punching a Ross Township police officer after a traffic stop.

The incident occurred after a traffic stop late Friday night in Ross Township. The driver allegedly punched the police officer then drove off.

A chase involving several police agencies ended later in Forest Park, where the man was arrested.

The man was being held in the Butler County Jail, according to a county dispatcher.

The Enquirer will update this story as more information becomes available.
