Calif. cruiser collision injures 3

OCEANSIDE, Calif. – Three people were injured yesterday afternoon when an Oceanside police cruiser and a small car collided.

The officer was driving south on College Boulevard about 1:50 p.m. when he flipped his lights on for a traffic stop and made a U-turn, pulling in front of a Mitsubishi, Oceanside police said.

The Mitusbishi driver and his 6-year-old sister, as well as the officer, were taken to Tri-City Medical Center with minor injuries.
