Young boxers find success, direction in police league

LAUDERHILL, Fla. — A police officer and his young boxers have knocked out many obstacles to revive this city's tiny boxing program.
From limited funding, no boxing ring to call its own and lackluster support for the program several years ago, Lauderhill's Police Athletic League has gone on to boast several success stories: youngsters losing weight, gaining muscle, winning competitions and saying they're more self-confident.
