Minn. officer saves family from house fire

Officer Matt Gannon was finishing his shift when he noticed the smoke

ST. CLOUD, Minn. — A police officer is credited with saving a family from a burning house Sunday morning.

According to the Associated Press local reports, Officer Matt Gannon was seconds away from the end of his morning shift when he noticed the house fire.

"I got out of my squad car and started pounding on doors, trying to get people out of there," Gannon said.

Two adults and three children were able to safely escape injury because of Gannon’s actions.
