Celebrities plan to attend a party to celebrate convicted cop killer Mumia Abu-Jamal’s 58th birthday.
A "Save the Date" card is circulating with details about the April 24th event. Actor Danny Glover and Rapper M-1 of Dead Prez have confirmed they are attending, according to The Blaze.
The former Black Panther was found guilty in 1982 of fatally shooting Philadelphia police Officer Daniel Faulkner. He spent nearly 30 years on death row while pursuing legal appeals, the last of which was recently rejected.
Prosecutors in December agreed to allow Abu-Jamal to serve a life sentence without parole.
The organizers present seven demands, including Abu-Jamal's release and an end to "the racist death penalty."
"We are asking individuals to get arrested as an act of civil disobedience," the invitation says.
