CHARLESTON, S.C. — Dashcam from multiple cruisers show the aftermath of a car accident and the incredible rescue of a motorist trapped inside her vehicle after it burst into flames.

Shana Porter, 28, went off the road and collided with a tree, which caused her vehicle to catch fire, according to WBTW. Responding officers then attempted to extinguish the growing flames.

At least three North Charleston officers appear on the video, running handheld extinguishers dry to try to quell the flames.

Eventually, rescuers used hoses to put out the fire and save Porter, who can be heard screaming from her vehicle.

Firefighters and EMS workers from various districts assisted with extinguishing the fire and rescuing the victim.

Porter was taken to a nearby hospital in serious condition. South Carolina Highway Patrol are investigating the crash.
