TacView releases patrol version pole camera for police

The camera can detach from the pole and attach to a chest harness or vest clamp

By PoliceOne Staff

TacView released a new PV Tactical pole camera — a pole-mounted color camera streamlined for first responders to monitor rooms with or without light.

The weatherproof, super-HAD camera is equipped with a 6.0 mm lens, an IR illuminator that turns on automatically for night vision, and a 6.5-inch color/infrared monitor.

The pole can expand from 3 to 10 feet and the durable Pyrex lens is contained in a 2-inch black metal housing.

The camera includes a carrying case and a chest harness and vest clamp for mounting the monitor onto the front or back of a uniform or load-bearing vest.

The TacView PV Tactical pole camera is National Tactical Officers Association (NTOA) tested and comes with two high-capacity rechargeable batteries and a back-up power supply that holds up to eight AA alkaline or lithium batteries.
