California: A rookie Los Angeles police officer shot and killed a man Monday who had attacked his former roommates with a 6-inch butcher knife, authorities said.

Ohio: Kent standoff ends with man's arrest. Resident surrenders to SWAT team, police after domestic dispute.

Colorado: A Colorado Springs police officer shot and killed a gun-wielding man late Sunday after the man pointed a gun at the officer, police said.

New Jersey: Camden police officer shot, wounded. Suspect arrested.

California: Suspect killed in Spring Valley deputy shooting. "He was saying kill me, kill me. At least that's what I heard, yelling to the officers to go ahead and kill him," said Omar Santos who captured the shooting on home video.

Texas: Lawmaker files bill limiting Taser use. The bill by Representative Lon Burnam of Fort Worth would limit Taser use to situations when an officer is justified in using deadly force.

Virginia: Police officer recovering after being dragged by vehicle.
