OH -- A Cincinnati Police Officer is expected to be okay after a suspect shot her at point blank range Wednesday morning, investigators said. The bullet fired at Officer Christine Holtman, 36, went through the bill of her hat and grazed her right cheek, leaving a three-inch gash.
The incident started in Bond Hill around 1:30 a.m. Wednesday, when Officer Holtman and Officer Lauren Smith were on patrol. They pulled over a Chevrolet Impala at 4913 Corinth Avenue.
After arresting the 23-year-old driver and putting him in the cruiser, the officers returned to the Impala and asked 18-year-old Dante "Pretty Boy" Person to step out of the vehicle.
