TX. -- A memorial is scheduled for today in Hereford for a 36-year-old state trooper killed in a fiery crash in the Texas Panhandle.
The memorial for Trooper Matthew Dewayne Myrick of Hereford will be this afternoon at the Church of the Nazarene in Hereford, with burial in Clovis, New Mexico.
The Texas Department of Public Safety says Myrick was killed after losing control of his vehicle while en route to another accident south of Hereford. After crossing an intersection, his vehicle went off the road and into a ditch where it hit a concrete culvert and burst into flames.
