California: Police Officer Shot In Santa Monica.

Florida: According to police, a man who was holding his girlfriend at gunpoint in a Southside neighborhood Wednesday morning was fatally shot by a SWAT team sharpshooter. Weintraub said that after the SWAT team was deployed, the suspect came out of the house twice with a rope and a shotgun attached to the woman's neck. The second time, a SWAT officer fired a shot.
