SAN FRANCISCO — Hundreds of federal agents up and down the state conducted raids today targeting a San Francisco-based methamphetamine trafficking operation that allegedly brought in millions of dollars of the illegal drug from Mexico, authorities said.
Agents searched 22 locations throughout the state, including three in San Francisco, authorities said. Other targets included sites in Livermore, Pittsburg, Newark, San Mateo, Los Angeles and San Diego.
Authorities said the investigation had been aided by federally authorized wiretaps of the group.
