Ohio: A recent string of school shootings has several northwest Ohio police departments taking extra steps to keep students and teachers safe. While students enjoyed the day off today, officers from Montpelier, Napoleon and the Williams County sheriff's office participated in a large-scale drill.

UK: Jean Charles De Menezes was shot with dum-dum bullets, court hears.

Texas: Rosenberg police officer shoots herself by accident.
