Miami police may get hovering drones

CBS 4

MIAMI ― Police in Miami-Dade County may soon have a new high-tech weapon in the war on crime. Reuters is reporting that Miami-Dade police could soon be the first in the nation to use small pilotless drones to help them fight crime and track criminals.

"Our intentions are to use it only in tactical situations as an extra set of eyes," police department spokesman Juan Villalba told Reuters.
