Suspected terrorists arrested may have been targeting transport infrastructure

Editor's Note: The arrest of suspected grassroots jihadists who allegedly plotted an attack similar to the 2004 Madrid, Spain train bombings demonstrates the continuing need for law enforcement vigilance against potential terror attacks. In a recent PoliceOne feature article, Fred Burton (who is widely considered to be one of the world’s foremost authorities on terrorists and terrorist organizations) told PoliceOne that American cops are "our best eyes and ears for detecting pre-operational surveillance by anybody. If you could marshal those assets from sea to shining sea you could have a much better picture of events from a real-time surveillance perspective than we currently do."
