Lawyer says Ohio officer's eyes can't prove speeding
A ticket was based on the officer's visual reading of his speed on a state highway
COLUMBUS, Ohio — When it comes to catching speeders, two eyes and professional training aren't good enough, a lawyer for a suspected Akron-area lead foot told the Ohio Supreme Court yesterday.
The driver, 26-year-old Mark W. Jenney, has come before courts in Akron and Barberton at least 14 times in the past 10 years for violations ranging from tinted windows to driving 80 mph in a 55-mph zone, court records show.
