GLENDALE, Ariz. — A police officer was dragged by a car Tuesday morning in Glendale after getting his hand stuck in the window of a car he pulled over for speeding, officials said.
The driver, a woman in her mid-20s, was speeding in a four-door passenger car and refused to stop for Glendale police near 56th and Glendale avenues, said Sgt. Jim Cunningham, spokesman for the Glendale Police Department.
Police followed the car until the intersection of 67th and Grand avenues. The car came to a stop.
When the officer got out of his car and walked up to the woman's car, the officer's hand apparently got stuck in the window and the woman drove away, dragging the officer, Cunningham said.
