NY man gets jail after hoax 911 call

Call led NJ state troopers to draw guns when they stopped a van carrying minority teenage students

TRENTON, NJ — A New York City man whose hoax 911 call led New Jersey state troopers to draw their guns when they stopped a van carrying minority teenage students has been sentenced to 90 days in jail.

Rodney A. Tanzymore is black and was one of the people in the van. He also received three years of probation at his sentencing Thursday in Trenton and was ordered to continue mental health counseling.
