What color is your personal car?

(LONDON) -- Police officers don't like driving white cars, according to new research, John Naish writes.

The study of professions and their favourite colour cars found that policemen don't like to be seen in anything resembling a panda car when off duty.

Instead, they are more likely to buy a green car than the rest of the population. Surgeons, meanwhile, are half as likely as most people to buy a red car - possibly because it reminds them of blood.

Some professions are, however, happy to drive their work home with them, according to Admiral insurance's survey. Nurses and vicars are more likely to drive a white car than most people and bank managers like to be in black.
