PROTECH Launches Titan Assault Enhanced Tactical Vest
Offers Greater Individual Carrier Customization
Jacksonville, FL. – Safariland™, a BAE Systems line of business, announced the introduction of the redesigned PROTECH® Titan Assault™ Enhanced tactical vest. The new Titan Assault Enhanced is a full-coverage tactical carrier designed to offer high-risk entry teams increased mobility and the ability to build protection and coverage required for specific applications.
The Titan Assault Enhanced can be customized to suit specific tactical maneuvers and is compatible with a spectrum of options currently offered by PROTECH Tactical. The standard carrier comes with the front and back ballistic panels and is equipped with a 360° modular attachment system to accommodate PROTECH Tactical TP pouches and accessories; an adjustable dual weapon retention system in the shoulder area for individual shooting positions; as well as dual, external top-loading plate pockets on the front and back to hold 8” x 10” or 10” x 12” type III or type IV hard armor plates. The carrier also features adjustable shoulder and side closure systems to create an optimum fit for each individual officer.
The Titan Assault Enhanced can be upgraded to accept the traditional Titan Assault ballistic yoke system, including detachable shoulder, collar and throat protection for increased upper torso coverage. For greater high-speed mobility, the carrier can be ordered with integrated, removable shoulder ballistics that slide into the carrier with the ballistic collar and throat sold separately. An extensive offering of ballistic accessories can be purchased for the Titan Assault Enhanced including:
• a pair of 6” x 10” removable ballistic side protection panels which come with adjustable sides that can be affixed to the carrier to fit a wide range of waist circumferences;
• a pair of A-PEC™ side chest protective inserts for greater protection in the pectoral area for both male and female officers;
• a pair of ballistic upper arm (bicep) protectors;
• a standard pull down ballistic groin protector or an enhanced, diamond-shaped groin protector for greater femoral artery protection.
Additionally, the Titan Assault Enhanced can be purchased with the innovative Spacer-Mesh™ padding system which attaches to the internal portion of the carrier to provide greater airflow and cushioning to the chest, back and shoulder areas while reducing load carrying fatigue.
“The Titan Assault Enhanced was redesigned with the reliability and performance of the original Titan Assault in mind,” said Dan McNeil, Category Director for Safariland’s Tactical Armor. “This new carrier provides the same performance tactical teams have come to expect from the Titan Assault, with the added ability to customize their carriers based on specific operational and tactical needs.”
The Titan Assault Enhanced is available with either NIJ-0101.06 compliant Type IIIA SM01 or BR01 ballistic packages.
