[Green Township, OH]

PoliceOne Staff Report
(GREEN TOWNSHIP, Ohio) -- A wanted man who begged a deputy sheriff to "shoot me, shoot me" was shot by the officer after he pointed a gun at him, authorities say.

Hamilton County Sheriff's Deputy Cpl. Roy Schooley wounded the suspect in the neck and arm Tuesday after he pointed a 9 mm pistol at the officer in the parking lot of an apartment complex on Robroy Drive, police told the Cincinnati Enquirer.

The suspect, Brian Woods, 30, had broken into his former girlfriend's apartment earlier, dragging the woman from a bedroom and threatened her, lawmen said. Police said Woods' gunshot wounds were not life threatening.
