Activist cop takes aim at rappers' violence

(NEW YORK) -- An African-American Brooklyn cop with political aspirations yesterday labeled embattled rap music mogul Sean (Puffy) Combs "the poster boy for black-on-black crime." Officer James Davis' harsh criticism of Combs, currently on trial on gun and bribery charges, came as part of the cop's broad condemnation of violence in the hip hop music industry.
Combs' spokesman Dan Klores dismissed the verbal attack as an "uninformed and in fact silly statement."
