Deputy killed in standoff while serving warrant
Deputy Sheriff Kyle Pagerly, 28, was attempting to serve an arrest warrant on when he was fatally shot

Deputy Kyle Pagerly and his K-9 pursued an armed man, Matthew Connor, who was suspected of burglary, criminal trespass, making terroristic threats, and simple assault.
Pagerly ordered Connor to drop the gun, and when he refused, gunfire was exchanged.
Connor was shot and killed at the scene, and Pagerly was taken to the hospital but later died.
Deputy Pagerly was a U.S. Army veteran and had served with the Berks County Sheriff's Department for five years. He also served with the Spring Township Fire Department. He is survived by his wife.
