Surveillance footage shows four young men drive up, park, and exit their vehicle

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Police are looking for a group of young men wanted for attacking an off-duty juvenile court officer outside a convenience store.

Officer Alonzo Giles was attacked Monday in downtown Nashville as he stopped at the store on the way to his son's football practice, according to WTVF.

Surveillance footage shows four young men drive up, park, and exit their vehicle, and authorities say they struck Giles from behind as he turned toward the trunk of his car. One of the young men asked Giles if he worked at the juvenile court just prior to the attack, according to Giles' supervisor Bill Kostrub.

"He's going to be okay," Kostrub said." He's a little beaten up, but he's going to be fine.”

It's highly unusual for a court officer to be the target of violence, court officials said.
