KALAMAZOO COUNTY, Mich. — Dash cam captured a vehicle pursuit that involved multiple law enforcement agencies — and was interrupted by a car crash.

Department of Public Safety officer Scott Brooks stopped a car while investigating a noise violation in a neighborhood on Saturday, according to WSBT. Driver Dan Rodriguez, 27, drove away after he was asked for identification.

In the video, a cruiser belonging to other responding officers is seen colliding with another vehicle at an intersection. After the accident, which sources say was minor, other police departments sent assistance.

Rodriguez was arrested after a chase that ended with him exiting his vehicle and attempting to flee on foot. He was charged with assault with a motor vehicle, fleeing and eluding, and driving under the influence of alcohol.

Two officers involved in the crash sustained minor injuries. They were transported to Bronson Hospital where they were treated and released. The passengers in the other vehicle were not injured.
